PositionSummary
House Supervisor responsibilities include the management of the Nursing Department and the direction and supervision of hospital-wide nursing activities on his/her designated shift. Administrative decisions utilize knowledge of hospital policies and nursing standards. Knowledge regarding social, economic, and legal issues affecting the healthcare system. Seeks opportunities for staying up-to-date in healthcare practices. Develops, directs, implements, and ensures compliance with Standards of Nursing Practice that promote optimal healthcare delivery.
Meets the Joint Commission Standards for Nursing. Responsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Performs all duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values.
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Masters degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of five years of recent nursing experience during which administrative and supervisory competence has been demonstrated, with at least one year of nursing leadership experience.
Licensure: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Missouri.
