Registered Nurse; RN - Orthopedic Neurology

Overview

Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care for patients in the Orthopedic Neurology unit.

• Promotes patient and family-centered care in a healing environment.
• Educates patients and families on self-management of illness or injury, including post-treatment home care needs and medication administration.
• Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Develops, implements, and documents individualized plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with interprofessional team members and patient/family/caregiver.
• Proactively plans and ensures communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care.
• Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care.
• Assesses patient preferences, barriers to involvement, values, emotions, spirituality, cultural, and population-specific needs.
• Works in a constant state of alertness and works safely as a safety-sensitive position.

• RN license.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or associate's degree in Nursing.
• Graduate RN accepted.

• Experience in Orthopedic Neurology or similar specialty.
• Prior experience in inpatient spine or neurology unit.
