Role Overview
The psychiatric unit nurse provides care for patients with behavioral health illnesses in an acute care setting.
Key ResponsibilitiesConduct intake interviews, assess and evaluate patients, develop care plans, maintain a safe therapeutic environment, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and may facilitate therapeutic groups.
Qualifications & SkillsMust have graduated from an accredited nursing program, with a preferred Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. An active RN license in Missouri is required. Preferred experience includes prior nursing practice. Essential skills include excellent verbal and written communication, leadership, time management, critical thinking, problem-solving, and adaptability in a multitasking environment.
