Shift: Dayshift, Monday - Friday, on call duties required
NHC Health Care Maryland Heights is now hiring for a RN or LPN to join our team Full Time as a Wound Care Nurse! The qualified nurse for this position will assess and evaluate patients with wounds, colostomies and injuries. This nurses will ensure optimum patient care delivery in wound care nursing procedures. The wound care nurse will provide education to prevent pressure ulcer and infections.
Coordinating care with other health professionals is another important aspect of this position and does have some on call. Wound Care certification preferred.
- Is responsible for maintaining clinical competency as evidenced by application of integrated nursing knowledge and skills, leadership, and communication skills.
- Utilizes the nursing process in assessment, planning and implementing care.
- Exhibits organizational ability related to workflow, prioritizing to meet the patient care needs.
- Integrates current standards of practice as well as local, state, and federal regulation related to nursing services in the care of patients.
- Maintain open and ongoing communication with patients and families regarding the status of a patient's wound, providing opportunity and encouragement to participate in decision making.
- Fulfill all Wound Care nurse duties as described in the full job description
- Fulfill unit manager duties and TBD additional duties assigned by DON.
Ability to meet performance & physical demands as described in full job description.
Licensure RequirementMaintains a current unencumbered LPN or RN for the State of MO
