Role Summary

The Duchenne Nurse Educator (DNE) works in a highly visible, dedicated team environment and supports health care providers (HCPs), patients, and caregivers through education on Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), infusion processes for Sarepta’s approved therapies, and patient support programs. This hybrid position requires on‑site work at a Sarepta facility and may involve attending company‑sponsored in‑person events.

Responsibilities
  • Develop relationships with HCPs, patients, and caregivers to support their journey on therapy.
  • Collaborate closely with cross‑functional partners to ensure ongoing compliance with therapy and support programs.
  • Provide education to providers, infusion nurses, patients, and caregivers on approved therapies and infusion processes.
  • Serve as a recognized expert on DMD education (genotype, deletions, disease process).
  • Present to audiences compliantly and conduct disease‑state awareness programs.
  • Assist in improving infusion experience by supporting infusion nurses and sharing best practices.
  • Support smooth transition from infusion center to home infusion for PMO therapies.
  • Attend advocacy meetings and represent Sarepta at industry conferences.
  • Travel to training meetings, medical offices, and home health agencies (up to 60%).
  • Provide nurse triage support during rotating 24‑hour on‑call shifts, triaging calls from patient care teams and documenting per guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse with a bachelor’s degree (BSN/BS/BA) from an accredited school.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, with infusion, neuromuscular, pediatrics, or related specialty preferred.
  • Preferred 2+ years in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
  • Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across internal and external partners.
  • Empathetic, friendly, and relatable communication style with patients and families.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 60% of the time.
  • Ability to work rotating 24‑hour on‑call coverage.
  • Preferred bilingual English/Spanish.

Compensation

Targeted salary range: $136,000 – $170,000 per year, commensurate with experience and market conditions.

Location & Travel

This hybrid position covers Washington, Oregon, Northern California, Utah, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Alaska. The role requires up to 60% travel, including ground and air transportation, and will involve work on site at a Sarepta facility in the United States and occasional in‑person events.
