Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in a manufacturing environment, specifically at Seneca House. This position is responsible for assisting patients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting their overall well-being. The CNA will work closely with nursing staff to monitor patient health and report any changes in condition, contributing to a collaborative healthcare team.

By maintaining a clean and organized environment, the CNA helps to create a positive atmosphere for both patients and staff. Ultimately, the goal of this role is to enhance the quality of life for patients through compassionate care and support.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current certification as a Nursing Assistant in the relevant state.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a healthcare or manufacturing setting.
  • Additional certifications in specialized areas of patient care.
  • Bilingual skills to communicate with a diverse patient population.
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient needs and concerns.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by following infection control protocols and ensuring proper sanitation.
  • Support patients in mobility and physical activities, encouraging independence and rehabilitation.

The required skills for this position include strong communication abilities, which are essential for interacting with patients and healthcare professionals. Attention to detail is crucial for accurately monitoring vital signs and documenting patient information.
