The Clinical Nurse IV AC is responsible for planning and delivering family‑centered patient care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation). The role directs and coordinates nursing care for patients according to established clinical nursing practice standards, collaborates with patients, families, and other professional disciplines, and establishes partnerships to ensure efficient patient care and desired outcomes.

• Plan and deliver family‑centered patient care using the nursing process.

• Required:
  
  Minimum one (1) year of acute care and/or surgical center nursing experience.
• Preferred:
  Six (6) months in a pediatric setting.

• Required:
  
  Graduation from an accredited school of Registered Nursing;
  Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) (effective on all offers made after November 1, 2015).

• Required:
  
  Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Registered Nurse – CA (RN).
• Preferred:
  Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN).

• Functional demand:
  Medium – high energy level.
• Physical activities: lifting 40‑50 lbs, push/pull 150‑200 lbs, transferring 150‑200 lbs, bending, carrying, climbing, keyboard use, pinching, repeated motion, reaching, standing, walking, etc.
• Lifting sensory: color discrimination, depth perception, far vision.
• Environmental requirements: airborne communicable disease, blood borne pathogens, chemical, dust, extreme noise, temperatures, radiation, uneven surfaces.
