Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery with Cerner EMR expertise. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality neonatal care, assist with labor support, and ensure patient safety throughout their shift.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies while maintaining strict aseptic techniques.
• Assist with newborn procedures such as circumcision, cord care, and assessments.
• Educate parents on infant care, breastfeeding, and postpartum procedures.
• Monitor fetal and maternal status, responding to emergencies with appropriate interventions.
• Maintain accurate documentation and support discharge planning for postpartum patients.
• Adhere to infection control protocols, isolation precautions, and baby-friendly standards.

Qualifications:

• Valid MO or compact RN license required at the time of submission.
• Minimum of 2 years of neonatal and labor/delivery experience, including Level 2 care.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN (Intermediate required; Advanced preferred).
• Proven expertise in neonatal assessments, pain management (including epidurals and PCA), and IV placement.
• Strong knowledge of neonatal protocols, including baby-friendly policies and couplet care.
• Ability to obtain references and comply with travel requirements and background policies.
