Role Overview
Provides patient care utilizing the nursing process under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals or a Registered Nurse (RN).
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate patient care with other departments
- Maintain patient rights and confidentiality
- Ensure professional accountability for patient care
- Support patient safety and comfort in a Med Surg unit
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent experience
- Valid LPN license, maintained according to state requirements
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (or completed within 30 days)
- LPN-IV certification, either completed prior or within 3 months (for Missouri)
