As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will deliver direct patient care by applying the nursing process with clinical competence and adhering to professional ethical standards.

• Adhere to established safety protocols including infection control, safe patient handling, and critical lab notifications to maintain a secure care environment.
• Administer medications, perform nursing interventions, and educate patients and families to support positive health outcomes.
• Operate within the Practical Nurse Scope of Practice and organizational policies to ensure quality and safety.
• Conduct ongoing patient assessments to monitor status, enhance care quality, and communicate findings effectively to the healthcare team.
• Collaborate closely with supervising RNs or shift managers to meet patient needs efficiently.
• Document all care activities and quality measures accurately to support clinical decisions.
• Communicate patient information to physicians and team members to improve outcomes.
• Delegate tasks appropriately while fostering teamwork and accountability.
• Engage patients and families with timely communication and education to enhance their experience and health results.
• Apply critical thinking in nursing practice and pursue continuing education to develop skills.

Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program is required.

One year of practical nursing experience is preferred.

• Current LPN license valid in the state or through compact licensure.
• Graduate Practical Nurses must obtain licensure within 90 days of graduation.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Requires considerable mental focus and physical activity including lifting up to 35 lbs, standing, walking, and various movements such as pushing, pulling, and stooping.

Frequent exposure to infectious and communicable diseases through blood and bodily fluids. Occasional encounters with hostile individuals may occur.
