At Valley Presbyterian Hospital, our Operations Supervisors provide critical leadership during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, ensuring safe, efficient, and patient-centered hospital operations. We're seeking an experienced
Operations Supervisor (RN)to oversee clinical operations, support patient throughput, respond to emergencies, and serve as the administrative leader during off-shift hours.

What You'll Do- Provide administrative and clinical leadership for hospital operations during assigned shifts
- Serve as the hospital resource for nursing staff, physicians, and ancillary departments
- Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, discharges, and overall patient throughput
- Lead bed management activities and facilitate bed board meetings during periods of high census
- Respond to hospital emergencies, codes, and disaster situations while coordinating appropriate resources
- Support Charge Nurses in optimizing patient placement using proactive patient flow strategies
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to resolve barriers impacting patient care and throughput
- Monitor staffing needs, adjust staffing resources, and support safe patient assignments
- Assist with patient placement decisions based on acuity, diagnosis, infection prevention, and available resources
- Promote compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and patient safety initiatives
- Provide conflict resolution and administrative support for patients, families, physicians, and staff
- Prepare administrative reports and communicate operational concerns to executive nursing leadership
- Minimum of
three years of critical care and/or emergency nursing experience - Demonstrated leadership and excellence in acute care nursing
- Previous
House Supervisor or Operations Supervisor
experience preferred - Strong knowledge of patient throughput, staffing coordination, and hospital operations
- Excellent critical thinking, communication, and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to lead teams and make sound clinical and operational decisions in fast-paced environments
- Commitment to exceptional patient care, staff support, and operational excellence
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or related field required
- Master's degree in Nursing preferred
- Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification
- Current or ability to obtain within 30 days:
- ACLS
- PALS
- Management of Assaultive Behavior (CPI or equivalent)
- LA County Fire Card
- Must maintain all required certifications, mandatory education, and occupational health requirements
