6:30pm – 7:00am (Weekend Requirement: once every 3rd weekend)

Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital St. Louis is a state-of-the-art facility designed specifically for patients requiring inpatient rehabilitation services. We offer programs that range from single therapies to comprehensive, multidisciplinary programs for patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal-cord injuries, amputations, burns, orthopedic injuries and other conditions. We provide rehabilitative care to patients and families utilizing a team approach, with an emphasis on improving individual functional ability and quality of life.

Our Treatment Team includes experienced Rehabilitation Nurses who provide excellent service and around-the-clock compassionate nursing care in an exceptional work environment.

• 81 private patient rooms

• Fully equipped Therapy Gym in every unit

• On-site Dialysis Suite

• Dedicated Nursing Assistant for each nursing team

How you'll contribute: A Patient Care Assistant (PCA) who excels in this role:

  • Provides direct patient care
  • Performs specific documentation in the patient's record
  • Maintains equipment and supplies and participates in quality assurance
  • Communicates appropriate information intradepartmental and interdepartmental
  • Assists and participates in staff education and pursues continuing education for personal development.
  • Applies knowledge of age-related factors appropriately to patients, utilizing appropriate policies and procedures.

What we're looking for:

  • Education:

    Graduate of a Registered Nursing Program preferred; HS Diploma or GED required
  • Licenses:
    Nursing Assistant Certificate Preferred
  • Certifications:

    Basic Life Support (BLS) - to be obtained within 30 days
