Requirements

Job Title: Terrain Park Crew Member
Department: Terrain Park

Status: Seasonal FT

Reporting To: Slopes Manager & Terrain Park Supervisors

Position Overview

The Terrain Park Crew Members will work in a team capacity, by monitoring and maintaining terrain features in the freestyle parks and other locations. Acts as a host in regard to crowd supervision, safety awareness, and educating guests on proper terrain park etiquette.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installing and maintaining park signage, closures, trail markings, and rope lines.
  • Monitoring terrain features by visual inspection and testing according to company policy.
  • Ongoing maintenance of terrain features and equipment in the parks.
  • Maintain consistent and coherent records in Ullr App.
  • Assisting with special events including setup, maintenance, and teardown of equipment.
  • Be present and alert at terrain park during the entire shift.
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements and/or Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of terrain park design and building/maintaining safe features.
  • Shovel, rake and groom features
  • Maintain ramps and terrain park features
  • Stay alert at all times and have excellent vision
  • Be able to ensure safety in terrain park, site guests that do not adhere to safety
  • Work nights, weekends, holidays, and on call
  • Desire to work at 9,000ft in inclement weather
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with cross-functioning teams
  • Reliable transportation, 4x4 vehicle or commitment to using UTA
  • HS Diploma or Professional Experience
  • Understand and use proper radio protocol
  • Interdepartmental communication (ski patrol, grooming, events etc.)
Physical Requirements
  • Full range of body movements
  • Reach, push, pull, lift, and carry objects that may be heavy (40+lbs)
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and twisting
  • Walk on even/uneven/slippery terrain
  • Climb/descend stairs/ladders
  • Manual dexterity to operate manual tools and power equipment on a constant basis
  • Safely handle hazardous materials
  • Ski or Snowboard at an intermediate to advanced level
Working Environment

The work environment is primarily in an outdoor environment. Work is performed outside consisting of extreme temperatures, loud sounds that may be distracting and in inclement weather (rain, snow, ice) at high altitude (9,000+ feet). This role will see sun and wind exposure on a daily basis.
