Kennel Technician
Location: Newport Veterinary Hospital, Rock Hill, SC
Salary: $12.50 - $14.50 per hour, determined by the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.
Schedule: This is a part‑time position. Schedule is 7:30 AM – 6 PM with lunch from 1:30 PM – 3 PM. Rotating weekends:
Saturday (7:30 AM – 12 PM and 4 PM – 6 PM), Sunday (7:30 AM – 9:30 AM and 4 PM – 6 PM).
- Feeding, walking, and giving love to dogs and cats
- Keeping their spaces clean, safe, and comfortable
- Watching for any signs of illness or stress and alerting the team
- Helping with baths, nail trims, and giving medications
- Being the friendly face pet parents see at drop‑off & pick‑up
- Potential to grow and develop veterinary assistant skills or a leadership role in the kennel
- Love animals — all kinds, all sizes
- Self‑motivated and able to get stuff done without constant supervision
- Comfortable with cleaning, moving around a lot, and getting a little dirty
- Team‑oriented yet able to work independently
- Interested in animal care and veterinary medicine
- Available for weekend and holiday shifts when scheduled
- Real experience in a veterinary hospital setting
