High School Assistant Sponsor for Kearney School District. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Helps lead practice with a schedule of activities
• Attends all practices/games/competition
• Reports to the Activities Director and/or Head Sponsor any problems or concerns
• Attends meetings as required by Activities Director
• Assist in the care of equipment and facilities
• Assist in collection, inventory, and storage of equipment and uniforms
• Plans banquet and awards for the athletes, facility improvements, equipment to be purchased, schedule improvements, etc.
• Supervises all athletes at contests and locker room

Qualifications:

• Coaching experience preferred
• Athletic/sport experience in High School and/or College preferred
• Good health & physical condition must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Knowledge of Kearney School District and MSHSSA guidelines

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• CPR and First Aid certified
• Missouri Teacher Certificate and/or DESE Substitute Certificate

Skills and Abilities:

• Computation
• Try out scoring procedures

Physical Demands:

• Walking
• Hearing
• Speaking
• Seeing
• Lifting Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds

Attendance:

• Must attend all practices and contests

Conditions and Environment:

• Indoor and outdoor contests
• Work in noisy environment
