Best Friends Animal Hospital is hiring an Associate Veterinarian
. This is a strong fit for an experienced doctor who wants balance, consistency, and a team that works well together.

This is a well-established small animal practice with a steady client base and a collaborative culture. Doctors communicate openly and support each other throughout the day. The team respects your time in the clinic and outside of it. The focus stays on quality medicine without unnecessary pressure.

Work a flexible 4 day per week full-time schedule Monday-Friday. NO WEEKENDS! The schedule stays predictable and supports time away from work. There is flexibility to help with vacation coverage when needed.

You practice small animal medicine in a calm, organized setting. You focus on patient care and build strong client relationships without a rushed pace.

• Experienced in general small animal medicine

• Confident performing routine soft-tissue surgery

• Experienced in dentistry or genuinely open to learning and expanding dental skills

• Communicates clearly and professionally with clients and teammates

• Works well in a collaborative, team-focused environment

• Values efficiency, consistency, and quality medicine

• Willing to provide occasional flexibility to help cover vacations

• Examine, diagnose, and treat small animal patients
• Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to patient needs
• Perform soft-tissue surgical procedures and dental treatments
• Interpret diagnostic results including lab work and imaging
• Prescribe medications and recommend preventative care
• Educate clients on treatment options and long-term care
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records
• Practice medicine in accordance with veterinary ethics and regulations

• DVM/VMD degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
• Appropriate state licensure.

• Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
• Vet will have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
• Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.
