The Landscape Construction Apprentice is an entry-level field role for someone who wants to learn a skilled trade, build a long-term career, and become more valuable as their capability grows.

You will learn the habits, safety practices, technical skills, and judgment required to build exceptional outdoor projects across Hinkle Outdoor Living’s three service lines:
Landscape Design-Build, Outdoor Living, and Pools. The path is Apprentice → Craftsperson → Assistant Crew Leader → Crew Manager. Advancement is based on demonstrated capability, not time alone.

Starting pay is $20.00–$22.00 per hour

• Support landscape construction, outdoor living, and pool-related field work.
• Assist with planting, soil preparation, grading, drainage, hardscape, and finish work.
• Support excavation, base preparation, compaction, patios, walls, steps, structures, and finish materials.
• Assist with site protection, staging, backfill, grading, coping, decking, and pool project readiness.
• Learn to use hand tools, power tools, equipment, and materials safely.
• Load, unload, stage, and secure materials, tools, trailers, and equipment.
• Keep jobsites, tools, materials, trucks, and client property clean and protected.
• Report hazards, mistakes, damage, missing information, and blockers early.
• Use field systems including Buildertrend, Company Cam, Google Drive, Quick Books Time, Lean Scaper AI, and Greenius.
• Apply coaching and training to improve your safety, quality, pace, and independence.

This role is designed as the first step in a clear field-career path:

Starting pay is $20.00–$22.00 per hour
, with a salary growth path up to $75-80K per year as a Crew Manager.
