Job Description
This position is a full‑time, year‑round analyst on the 2nd shift at our Environmental Testing laboratory in Earth City, MO. Candidates must be within a commutable distance. Ideal shift times are 2 pm–10 pm or 4 pm–12 pm.
Compensation is $18‑20 per hour (DOE) plus benefits.
Responsibilities- Demonstrate and promote company vision
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
- Apply GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility
- Perform routine laboratory tasks: prepare samples, conduct chemical analyses, calculate and record data, report unusual occurrences to supervisor, maintain instruments
- Comply with Eurofins EHS and QA standards
- Conduct housekeeping in work area
- Become proficient in instrumentation such as gas chromatography, GC/MS, atomic absorption, ICP, and related data systems
- Work under close supervision using standard methods
- Aliquot and weigh samples, wash glassware, and perform all activities safely and efficiently
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Strong reading, writing, and speaking skills
- Problem‑solving, teamwork, meeting management, time‑management, and organization skills
- Mathematical calculation ability (calculator, formulas)
- Independent work following written or verbal instructions
- Cooperative communication—both oral and written
- Ability to learn protocols in disciplines including organic preparation, metals, gas chromatography, GC/MS, radio‑chemistry, wet chemistry, high‑resolution & low‑resolution analysis
- A minimum of an Associate of Science degree in Chemistry or equivalent experience
- Experience in an environmental laboratory is a plus
- At least 1–2 years of lab preparation, analytical experience, or comparable experience
- Effective communication and ability to relate well with people in direct contact
- Positive attitude toward quality, service, and safety procedures
- Reasoning, judgment, decision‑making, organization, and problem‑solving skills
- Detail‑oriented, ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize
- Versatility and flexibility in dealing with people
- Ability to synthesize and retain information
- Computer skills; experience with LIMS software is a plus
- Basic math skills (multiplication, division, algebra)
- Work independently and within time constraints
- Capable of lifting up to 25 lb frequently and up to 50 lb occasionally
- Willingness to work overtime as necessary
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
- Professional working proficiency in English (read, write, speak)
- Perform other duties as assigned
