Production Chemist

Pharmaceutical peptide company in Torrance looking for a chemist to join their production team. Opportunity to make an impact in the pharmaceutical space and gain experience with analytical instrumentation. Entry‑level candidates are welcome to apply.

• B.S. in Chemistry or Biochemistry
• 6+ months of GMP experience with analytical instrumentation – entry‑level candidates with HPLC experience from an undergraduate program will be considered

• Opportunity to gain experience with pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, and analytical instrumentation
• Extensive, hands‑on training
• Ability to join an expanding team and grow within the department

• Monitor chemical reactions during processing for color and completeness
• Perform intermediate chemical processing steps using established procedures under general supervision
• Prepare solutions for purification and samples
• Purify crude peptide by HPLC under general supervision
• Conduct lyophilization process following established guidelines
• Perform drying processes according to established procedures
• Report any equipment problems or issues to supervision
• Conduct in‑process checks of fractions using analytical HPLC and report results to supervision and/or senior production chemist personnel
