Location: Mossville, IL (Onsite)
Duration: 26+ Months
- Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.
- Experience performing Failure Analysis on metal components and products.

The Quality/Test Engineer will be responsible for performing material evaluations, failure analysis, product testing, and quality investigations to ensure products meet engineering and customer quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metallurgy, materials science, and quality engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive customer requests and document product conditions upon receipt.
- Create and manage work orders while coordinating testing activities with laboratory technicians.
- Perform failure analysis on components and determine root causes of failures.
- Conduct metallurgical evaluations using microscopy and other analytical techniques.
- Prepare detailed technical reports with findings, analysis, and recommendations.
- Review and validate reports with senior engineering staff.
- Develop sampling procedures and quality inspection processes.
- Design and maintain documentation for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
- Evaluate production equipment, testing methods, and measurement systems for precision and accuracy.
- Support investigations related to product reliability and manufacturing quality.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and blueprints during inspections.
- Assist with process improvements to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
- Develop training materials and conduct quality-related training sessions when required.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve quality issues.
- Experience in manufacturing or heavy equipment industries.
- Knowledge of metrology and laboratory testing procedures.
- Experience with product reliability testing.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Team-oriented with strong collaboration skills.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
