Position Title:
QA Administrator – Wage: $20.00/hour
– Shift: 1st –
Hours:
8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday –
Location:
Marshfield, MO.
- Support the Quality Assurance department in a food manufacturing environment specializing in natural food color ingredients.
- Maintain quality records, documentation, and controlled files to ensure compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with food safety and quality initiatives by preparing documentation, reporting, and coordinating cross‑functional communication.
- Collaborate with production, quality, purchasing, and suppliers to ensure accurate and timely completion of quality‑related tasks.
- Perform additional administrative and quality support duties as assigned.
- Organize quality documentation, records, specifications, and document control systems.
- Review Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for accuracy and completeness.
- Complete customer and supplier questionnaires and respond to documentation requests.
- Communicate with suppliers to obtain required certifications, specifications, and quality documentation while maintaining accurate records.
- Generate reports, track quality metrics, and analyze data using Microsoft Excel, including formulas, trending, and reporting functions.
- Assist in maintaining data within ERP and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Monitor documentation to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct routine walks through the production facility to identify potential food safety or quality concerns and initiate work orders or corrective actions when necessary.
- Assist with internal audits, inspections, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Support the Quality Assurance team with investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement projects.
- Prioritize multiple assignments while meeting deadlines in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Collaborate with production, operations, and other departments to promote a culture of quality and food safety.
- Ability to work in both an office and food manufacturing environment.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and computer use throughout the workday.
- Ability to walk production areas and manufacturing floors for inspections and quality observations.
- Occasional lifting and carrying of up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) while in production areas.
- Ability to distinguish colors and visually inspect documentation, labels, and production processes.
- Previous experience in quality assurance, food manufacturing, laboratory operations, or another regulated industry is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel, including formulas, data analysis, and reporting.
- Experience with ERP systems and Quality Management Systems (QMS) is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP, food safety programs, or quality systems is a plus but not required.
