Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Location: Hazelwood, MO (Onsite)
Duration: 6+ Month Contract
Position SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Lab Scientist to support analytical chemistry testing and laboratory operations in a fast-paced, regulated environment. This role is responsible for performing analytical testing, maintaining laboratory instrumentation, managing controlled documentation, and supporting day-to-day lab operations while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and data integrity standards.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation, strong technical writing skills, and a solid understanding of GMP and laboratory documentation practices.
Responsibilities Analytical Laboratory- Perform analytical testing using HPLC, LC-MS, GC, spectroscopy, and Karl Fischer titration.
- Support analytical method development, validation, and routine sample testing.
- Troubleshoot laboratory instruments and coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Ensure laboratory instruments are properly maintained and operating efficiently.
- Draft, review, revise, and maintain controlled documents, including:
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Analytical methods
- Work instructions
- Forms
- Laboratory records
- Complete documentation accurately and in compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage laboratory record filing, retention, storage, and archival activities.
- Coordinate laboratory activities to support testing schedules and project timelines.
- Maintain laboratory organization and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
- Promote a safe, clean, and compliant laboratory environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
- 3–5 years of analytical laboratory experience.
- Hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation, including:
- HPLC
- LC-MS
- GC
- Spectroscopy
- Karl Fischer titration
- Strong knowledge of laboratory documentation and controlled document management.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Master's or other graduate degree in a scientific discipline.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other regulated laboratory environments.
- Advanced experience with LC-MS instrumentation.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and data integrity requirements.
- Experience authoring SOPs and maintaining quality documentation.
- Onsite laboratory position in Hazelwood, MO.
- Regular handling of laboratory chemicals, reagents, and analytical instrumentation.
- Ability to stand and perform laboratory work for extended periods throughout the day.
