Quality Lab Technician (Entry-Level)

What You'll Do
- Perform quality testing on food ingredients and finished products
- Conduct sensory evaluations, including taste, texture, and appearance assessments
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accurate results
- Investigate quality issues and support root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Perform GMP inspections, plant audits, and environmental monitoring activities
- Record test results and quality data in LIMS and internal systems
- Label and release materials and finished products that meet specifications
- Partner with production teams to uphold food safety and quality standards
Qualifications
- High School Diploma with 1-2 years of quality, laboratory, manufacturing, or food industry experience; OR
- Bachelor's Degree with laboratory coursework and hands-on work experience
- Basic knowledge of laboratory testing and quality control principles
- Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Comfortable handling products containing dairy, nuts, shellfish, and other food allergens
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 55 lbs
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with GMPs, food safety programs, and quality audits
- Familiarity with LIMS or other quality management systems
- Experience with environmental monitoring, swabbing, or SOP development
- Passion for continuous improvement and process optimization

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of BRIDGETON, MO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.55/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
