Position OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and service-oriented Full-Time Resident Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be at the heart of our communities ensuring properties are well-managed, residents are supported, and operations run smoothly.
Compensation and BenefitsHourly Rate: $22.00 – $24.00

- Property Operations & Resident Relations: Collect and post rent, manage adjustments, enforce leases and community rules, support move-ins/move-outs, respond to resident concerns, responsible for processing monthly rent in a timely accurate manner and deliver excellent customer service to residents, staff, and vendors
- Compliance & Leasing:
Income-qualify applicants, lease vacant units, process recertifications, and ensure full compliance with LIHTC, HCD, LAHD, Section 8, and Fair Housing requirements; prepare and maintain accurate, audit-ready files and documentation - Reporting & Administration:
Maintain rent journals and resident records, prepare notices, complete lease-up, quarterly, and annual reports, and ensure all documentation is accurate, timely, and compliant - Property Oversight & Maintenance Coordination:
Conduct daily property walks and inspections, maintain curb appeal, coordinate and follow up on maintenance requests, oversee shared spaces (if applicable), and document/report incidents - Team Collaboration & Support:
Communicate regularly with Property Supervisor, assist with audits and compliance reviews, support cross-property operations, and help train new Resident Managers - General Responsibilities:
Respond to after-hours emergencies, reside onsite if required, and perform additional duties as assigned
- LIHTC certification preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong math and analytical skills - Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and California regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (Yardi/Access a plus)
For select communities, supportive housing experience is required. In these roles, you will:
- Oversee daily operations of supportive housing communities
- Act as a liaison between residents, case managers, and service providers
- Promote resident well-being and housing stability
- Collaborate with partners such as LAHD, LAHSA, and CES
- Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential
- High school diploma/GED required; some college preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of onsite Resident Manager experience in affordable housing
- Leasing experience required
- For supportive housing: experience working with formerly unhoused or special needs populations preferred
