Job Description:
This is a grant-funded, non-tenure track position through 07/28/27. Funding must be available for any continuation of appointment.

Description:
The individual will be expected to perform a variety of duties as a research associate in the Renewable Natural Resources Department. Primary duties include sampling and tissue analysis of invasive fish. Additional duties include supporting on-going research projects (e.g., native fishes, freshwater mussels, benthic invertebrates, water quality); maintenance of boats and trucks; inventory management; field activity planning; data entry and analysis;
assist principal investigators in the design and direction of research activities, reporting, and publication of results.
Qualification Requirements: BS or MS in natural resources management, ecology, wildlife management, or fisheries management, or very closely related biological field; experience with comprehensive management reporting; experience with database management and programming, and GIS and Microsoft applications; ability to work well independently and within collaborative teams. Previous experience in electrofishing, field and laboratory fish sampling and handling, and water quality research is strongly preferred.
