Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Duration: 10 months contract with extension upto 18 months (possible full time conversion)
Pay range: $60/hr - $70/hr
Position SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Lab Scientist to support analytical chemistry laboratory tests and facility activities. This onsite role is responsible for assisting with analytical testing, laboratory maintenance, equipment coordination, controlled documentation, and sample management while ensuring compliance with established quality standards and laboratory procedures. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical chemistry knowledge, experience with laboratory instrumentation, and a commitment to data integrity, safety, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities Analytical LaboratoryOperate and maintain analytical chemistry instrumentation, including HPLC, LC-MS, GC, spectrometry, and Karl Fischer titration systems.
Perform analytical testing activities, such as routine laboratory analyses, analytical method development and validation.
Troubleshoot instrument and laboratory issues and coordinate maintenance activities as needed.
Documentation and Quality SystemsDraft, review, revise, and maintain controlled documents, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), analytical methods, forms, work instructions, and laboratory records.
Ensure documentation is completed accurately, legibly, and in compliance with applicable quality requirements.
laboratory record retention, filing, storage, and archival activities.
Laboratory OperationsCoordinate laboratory logistics and operational activities to support testing schedules and project timelines.
Follow laboratory safety procedures and promote a safe working environment.
Required Qualifications (Analytical scientist )Bachelor’s degree (BS or BA) in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
Analytical scientist with strong LC-MS/MS or mass spectrometry experience
3–5 years of laboratory, technical, or operations support experience in an analytical environment.
Working knowledge and experience of analytical techniques and instrumentation, including HPLC, LC-MS, GC, spectroscopy, and Karl Fischer titration.
Strong understanding of laboratory documentation practices and controlled-document management.

Technical Requirements (Biocompatibility Scientist):Working knowledge of biocompatibility assessments in accordance with ISO 10993 standards.
Experience supporting biological evaluation of medical devices and/or combination products.
Familiarity with toxicological risk assessment
-or- extractables and leachables studies
-or- interpretation of biocompatibility test results.
Ability to review scientific data, assess compliance, and prepare technical reports and regulatory documentation.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills.
Preferred:3–5 years of biocompatibility, toxicology, or medical device product development experience.
Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Toxicology, Biomedical Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
Preferred QualificationsExperience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated laboratory environment.
Hands‑on experience with LC‑MS instrumentation.
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and data integrity principles.
Experience authoring and maintaining laboratory SOPs and quality records.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment.
High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to laboratory operations.
Ability to consistently follow procedures, quality requirements, and safety standards.
Working ConditionsPrimarily onsite laboratory‑based position.
Require handling of chemicals, laboratory reagents, and analytical instrumentation.
Ability to stand, walk, and perform routine laboratory tasks for extended periods.
