How You'll Contribute to Our Success

As Director of Bioengineering, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping Recombia’s technical strategy and driving innovation across our platform, product development, and lab operations. Leading a team of scientists, you’ll oversee projects from early‑stage R&D through industrialization, ensuring efficient execution and impactful outcomes. By collaborating closely with the Biofoundry team, Centers of Excellence, and senior leadership, you’ll maintain high performance standards while accelerating progress in biomanufacturing.

Your visionary leadership and ability to translate complex scientific concepts into actionable strategies will inspire teams and align stakeholders around a bold technical vision. What You’ll Do as the Director of Bioengineering:

Safety

• Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to Lesaffre's safety‑first culture by strictly following all safety protocols and participating in required safety programs.

People Management (15%)

• Lead, mentor, and support a team of scientists, providing technical guidance, career development, and performance feedback.
• Foster a collaborative and high‑performing work environment.

Team Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement (30%)

• Strengthen collaboration between the San Francisco team, LIST Bioengineering teams, and other Centers of Excellence (CoEs).
• Work closely with Business Unit (BU) representatives, quality/regulatory/legal teams, and external research partners (e.g., CROs).
• Ensure seamless communication and alignment across internal and external stakeholders.
