As a Biostatistician, you will help researchers design studies, identify and organize data, perform statistical analyses, and communicate meaningful results that support scientific discovery and evidence-based decision making. This role offers exposure to a broad range of projects rather than a narrow specialty, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys continuous learning, variety, and collaboration.

  • Provide guidance on research design, methodology, feasibility assessments, and sample size calculations

  • Identify, acquire, and validate research data from Epic and other available data sources

  • Work with stakeholders to determine data requirements and assess data availability and limitations

  • Extract, organize, and prepare data for statistical analysis

  • Conduct statistical analyses using R and other research tools

  • Interpret findings and present results through reports, visualizations, presentations, manuscripts, and publications

  • Support randomization processes, power analyses, and other statistical research activities

  • Ensure data integrity and statistical accuracy throughout the research process

  • Educate residents, fellows, researchers, and other learners on research methods and statistical concepts

  • Stay current with evolving statistical methodologies and analytical techniques

  • Participate in departmental projects and perform other duties as assigned

Team & Work Environment

This role is part of a team of biostatisticians supporting internal research requests across the organization. Work is managed through a queue-based process, with projects prioritized based on submission timing and research deadlines. The environment is fast-paced, collaborative, and dynamic, providing opportunities to work on a diverse range of studies and initiatives.

What You'll Need:

OR
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related field and three (3) years of experience acquiring and analyzing data in a medical setting

Preferred

Experience
  • One (1) year of experience acquiring, analyzing, and presenting data results in a medical or healthcare setting

Technical Qualifications
  • Experience using R for statistical analysis and reporting

Preferred
  • Experience working with healthcare data

  • Knowledge of Epic reporting and data environments, including Clarity and Caboodle

  • Experience supporting clinical or academic research initiatives

Training will be provided for Epic-related tools and data environments as needed.

Why Join Us?
  • Exposure to a wide variety of research projects and clinical specialties

  • Strong opportunities for on-the-job learning and professional development

  • Hands-on experience with healthcare and research data systems

  • Small, collaborative team with direct access to leadership and decision-making

  • Responsive feedback and mentorship

  • Flexible hybrid work arrangement

  • Meaningful work that directly supports medical research and patient care advancement
