Research Technician

This position is in the Automated Synthesis Facility, a core facility that primarily supports the Department of Chemistry. The technician will be responsible for routine maintenance and operation of HPLC (analytical and preparative), LC-MS, SFC , TLC
-MS, and automated solid dispense systems. Routine operation includes running submitted samples and writing automated processing and reporting methods. The technician will interface directly with scientists in multiple research groups and manage and track instrument use and perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required or assigned.

This position is in the Automated Synthesis Facility working with the Department of Chemistry.

This position works in a laboratory or vivarium environment. Further details of the physical requirements of established essential functions for this position will be addressed/discussed during the interview process.

Requires a bachelor’s degree in chemistry or in a relevant scientific discipline and up to one (1) year of related experience. Three (3) to six (6) years of related laboratory experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Experience with HPLC , SFC , and/or Mass Spec.

Compensation: $17.69
-21.65 per hour budgeted hiring range
