Position

Food Service Worker / Cashier – Full‑time, 7:00 am – 2:30 pm, Monday‑Friday only.

Location: Parkway McKelvey Elementary, 1751 McKelvey Road, Maryland Heights, MO 63043.

Pay: $16.00 per hour.

Schedule & Perks: Full time, weekdays only; no nights or weekends; paid holidays; snow days off.

Requirement: Previous food service experience recommended; not required.

Perform cashiering duties, general food service work and maintain sanitation standards in the preparation, service and dining areas.

• Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weigh and measure designated ingredients.
• Carry pans, kettles and trays between stations and store foods per safety procedures.
• Clean work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety requirements.
• Use approved recipes and production standards for quality, serving temperatures and portion control.
• Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner following service steps.
• Resolve customer complaints in a service‑oriented manner.
• Relay information to supervisor.
• Perform sales transactions and enter sales into the cash register.
• Make change, accept cards and other approved payment methods.
• Issue receipts and refunds following procedures.
• Maintain the cash drawer and ensure compliance with overage/shortage standards.
• Replenish condiments, beverages and supplies while maintaining cleanliness.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
