Role

The Cook C is responsible for assisting with basic preparation tasks exclusively within the staff dining kitchen, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and compliance with Amanvari’s established quality and hygiene standards. This position is an entry-level role within the culinary team and is key to the smooth operational functioning of the dining area. Cook C is expected to maintain a continuous learning mindset, discipline, and commitment to excellence in every task, contributing to the harmonious, professional, and collaborative environment that defines Aman.

Responsibilities
  • Apoyar en tareas básicas de cocina del comedor de colaboradores, tales como pelar, cortar, porcionar, limpiar y almacenar alimentos.
  • Preparar mise en place siguiendo las instrucciones del Cocinero B, Cocinero A o Chef de Partie, exclusivamente para el comedor de colaboradores.
  • Mantener la estación de trabajo limpia, ordenada y abastecida con los insumos necesarios durante todo el turno.
  • Cumplir estrictamente con las normas de higiene y seguridad alimentaria (HACCP o equivalentes).
  • Participar en la limpieza diaria de áreas, equipos y utensilios dentro del comedor de colaboradores.
  • Verificar la correcta rotación, etiquetado y almacenamiento de productos, siguiendo el método FIFO (First In, First Out).
  • Apoyar en la entrega o montaje de platillos simples bajo supervisión directa, exclusivamente para los colaboradores.
  • Reportar oportunamente cualquier incidencia, desperdicio o falta de productos al supervisor inmediato.
  • Mostrar disposición para aprender técnicas culinarias y desarrollar habilidades profesionales dentro del área asignada.
  • Colaborar con una actitud positiva, respetuosa y comprometida hacia todos los miembros del equipo.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with basic kitchen tasks in the staff dining area, such as peeling, cutting, portioning, cleaning, and storing food.
  • Prepare mise en place following the instructions of Cook B, Cook A, or Chef de Partie, exclusively for the staff dining area.
  • Keep the workstation clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies throughout the shift.
  • Strictly comply with food hygiene and safety standards (HACCP or equivalent).
  • Participate in the daily cleaning of areas, equipment, and utensils within the staff dining kitchen.
  • Ensure proper rotation, labeling, and storage of products following the FIFO (First In, First Out) method.
  • Assist in the plating or serving of simple dishes under direct supervision, exclusively for staff.
  • Promptly report any incidents, waste, or product shortages to the immediate supervisor.
  • Demonstrate willingness to learn culinary techniques and develop professional skills within the assigned area.
  • Collaborate with a positive, respectful, and committed attitude toward all team members.
Perfil del Candidato
  • Experiencia previa mínima de 6 meses en cocina (deseable, no indispensable).
  • Educación básica concluida; se valorará formación inicial en Gastronomía o Artes Culinarias.
  • Conocimientos básicos de higiene, manipulación y conservación de alimentos.
  • Puntualidad, compromiso, actitud de servicio y deseo de aprendizaje continuo.
  • Disponibilidad para laborar en horarios rotativos, fines de semana y días festivos.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 6 months of previous kitchen experience (preferred, not required).
  • Basic education completed; initial training in Gastronomy or Culinary Arts is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of food hygiene, handling, and storage.
  • Punctual, committed, service-oriented, and eager to learn.
  • Availability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
