# Barback Skyview - Los Alamos, CA 93440## Overview Salary Range $16.90 - $16.90 Hourly Position Type Part Time## Description The Barback is responsible for greeting guests. Providing support with service including running food, restocking the bar, assisting bartender with service duties, greeting guests as they sit at the bar, bussing and assisting with sidework. Responsibilities and Duties
* Shows up for work on –time in proper uniform that meets dress code standards
* Ensures the dining room is clean, neat and organized at all times, including tables, floors, setting and table blooms
* Assisting with setup, restocking and breakdown of the bar during service, prior to service and after service
* Checks the temperature and adjusts: heat, fan, a/c,  fireplace, window opening/closing, umbrellas, outdoor heater etc for the GUEST comfort. Any questions about the appropriate setting should be run by management.
* Greets guests at the entrance immediately, and provide menus to guests
* Accurately describe the property history and hotel
* Maintains table/bar appearance by assisting with bussing
* Assist with polishing glassware and silverware
* Assist with coffees and cafe drinks
* Assist with folding and rolling linens and napkins
* Can safely and swiftly carry a tray of drinks and properly serve them without having to put tray on table, uses a tray to buss glassware
* Maintains a safe and sanitary work environment
* Communicates with servers/bartenders regarding guests who have been seated at the bar or have moved from the bar to a table
* Communicates with management regarding guest issues, reservation issues, or problems with service.
* Communicates with guests regarding updates on wait times, reservations. availability changes, etc.
* Maintains cleanliness and organization of host stand and surrounding area during service
* Monitors and observes guest’s dining experience. Alerts servers or manager to any potential issues.
* Runs food as needed, especially for large parties and during peak hours
* Reports all equipment problems and maintenance issues to manager
* Checks menus for cleanliness and asks manager for restock if needed BEFORE the start of service

Physical Requirements
* Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, up to the duration of a scheduled shift
* Ability to walk between the designated parking area and the worksite, including navigating an inclined pathway
* Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 25–50 pounds (e.g., kegs, cases of beverages, ice bins, and bar supplies)
* Frequent bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and twisting to perform bar setup, service, cleaning, and restocking duties
* Ability to use hands and fingers for repetitive motions such as handling and polishing glassware
* Ability to maintain balance and coordination while working in a fast-paced environment with potential hazards, including wet floors and confined work spaces
* Ability to communicate effectively with guests and coworkers in a high-noise environment
* Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including indoor and outdoor settings, and exposure to heat, cold, and other weather-related conditions, as applicable## Qualifications Qualifications/Skills Needed
* Previous restaurant, bar, or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
* Must be at least 18 years of age in accordance with California law governing the service of alcoholic beverages
* Must have a valid California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification or the ability to obtain one within 60 days of employment;
