Shift Lead

Hoeckele Bakery & Deli in Perryville, MO is looking for 2-3 shift leaders to join our team. We are located on 1516 Edgemont Blvd #10. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, punctual, and hard-working.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily bakery operation during assigned shifts
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive guest experience
• Open and/or close the bakery, following all checklist and procedures
• Assist with production needs:
  Prepping, Stocking, etc.
• Monitor product quality and presentation in display cases
• Delegate tasks to team members and coach them throughout the shift
• Handle cash register operations, drawer counts, and end of day
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are followed
• Communicate with management about shift performance, issues, and inventory needs
• Train new team members on bakery processes and customer service
• Help manage rushes and keep workflow smooth
• Support a positive, team-focused work culture

Qualifications

• Experience in a leadership role is a definite plus
• Strong leadership skills and ability to guide a team
• Excellent communication and customer service ability
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Comfortable working early mornings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to multitask and stay organized during high-volume periods
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 30-40lbs
• Experience in a leadership role is a definite plus
