Boutique Mercantile Sales Associate – Part-Time

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional experience by warmly welcoming every guest, engaging in conversation when appropriate, and assisting with all requests.
• Maximize selling opportunities, brand recognition, and repeat business among in‑house guests, visitors, local residents, Sierra Mar guests, and online customers.
• Accurately operate the POS system; stock and maintain merchandise; assist with physical inventory preparation and counts; ensure the Mercantile remains clean and organized.
• Provide product and customer feedback to the Mercantile Manager; share property history and promotions with guests; give and receive constructive feedback; perform other duties as assigned.
• Feature and promote local artists through the art gallery; secure local art and jewelry; support property‑wide promotions and strengthen community partnerships.

• Prior retail experience in a boutique environment, with a proven track record of sales productivity.

Pay rate: $20.00 per hour plus commission on consignment sales.

This is a part‑time position. Flexible work availability between 9:00 am and 5:30 pm is required.
