As a Deli Clerk, you’ll prepare fresh food, deliver outstanding customer service, and help maintain a clean, organized deli environment in a fast-paced grocery store setting.

• Prepare, season, cook, and package deli food products according to recipes and quality standards
• Operate kitchen and deli equipment including slicers, fryers, presses, and hot/cold service stations
• Rotate stock using FIFO procedures and monitor product freshness and hold times
• Decorate and display finished deli products
• Maintain accurate records for inventory, production, and special orders
• Provide excellent customer service and fulfill customer orders accurately
• Support promotions, upselling, and limited-time offers to increase sales
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli, kitchen, coolers, and storage areas
• Operate point-of-sale (POS) system and handle cash/card transactions accurately
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures at all times

• Previous deli, food service, restaurant, grocery, or retail experience preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Basic math and cash handling skills
• Ability to follow recipes, food safety, and sanitation procedures
• Willingness to learn deli equipment and kitchen operations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Food Handler Permit required (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
• Flexible availability (days, evenings, weekends, holidays)
• Ability to work at various store locations as needed

• Fast-paced grocery store deli environment
• Exposure to hot cooking equipment and cold storage/freezer areas
• Standing for extended periods; lifting up to 50 lbs
