Grocery Set Team Member
Reports to:
Assigned Area Merchandiser
Summary:
To work with our merchandising team helping implement company initiatives, planograms, helping in the setting up of new stores, resets of existing stores, and adding value where possible to the Grocery merchandising team while building working relationships within the stores.
- Computer Skills – basic knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Communication Skills – solid level of verbal and written skills, ability to understand given instructions and work thoroughly to complete tasks.
- Ordering, Credits, Product Knowledge – knowledge of Harps Ordering System for ordering and getting credits; basic use of the HDR and Store Front tools to monitor distro items and warehouse availability.
- Merchandising – general skills and knowledge of merchandising, including stocking, rotation, setting and maintaining displays, and proper signage.
- Problem Solving – ability to define issues, use critical thinking and logic to obtain answers, stay alert to ensure accurate, safe, and thorough completion of work activities even with frequent interruptions.
- Integrity – demonstrates and acts in accordance with sound business ethics and values; honest.
- Supporting Harps’ Mission Statement – strive daily to exceed customers’ expectations in support of Harps’ mission to provide the best overall value to customers.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
- Possess a valid driver’s license, maintain an insurable driving record, and have dependable transportation.
- Be located or able to relocate to any portion of our market.
- Have the flexibility to travel overnight and possibly for extended periods due to special projects or store openings/re-models.
- Ability to move, lift, carry, and place merchandise and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
- Frequently reach overhead and below the knees, including pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, crouching, and twisting, with or without weight; occasionally required to squat, kneel, and climb.
- Stand and/or walk continuously throughout shift.
- Visually locate merchandise and other objects, and verify information often in small print.
- May be exposed to indoor work with variations in heat, cold, dust, and humidity.
- May be exposed to cleaning solvents or other chemicals.
