Position OverviewUNIQLO Loss Prevention is responsible for maintaining a safe shopping environment for all customers and employees. The Loss Prevention Supervisor plays a critical role in inventory management and shortage reduction.
Key Responsibilities- Train store team members on loss prevention and safety policies, procedures and standards, ensuring compliance from all store team and notifying management of any violations.
- Ensure the loss prevention (LP) team can successfully identify, apprehend, and detain shoplifters by following company guidelines.
- Build productive relationships with store leadership and associates.
- Lead associate awareness efforts and generate leads for internal investigations.
- Emphasize proper inventory management and investigate issues while educating the team on appropriate procedures.
- Ensure compliance with and understanding of shortage reduction strategies.
- Partner with the LP Manager to maintain company policy and procedure compliance.
- Inspect compliance with company safety policy through store visits and provide direction and training.
- Identify safety or loss risks and immediately notify store and loss prevention management to prevent accidents.
- Support loss prevention management with audits and inventory counts.
- Maintain full confidentiality at all times.
- Assist with special projects as assigned.
- Strong knowledge of computer applications, including security software, CCTV equipment, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws related to loss prevention.
- Experience with surveillance/security equipment and installations.
- Ability to travel to stores within the assigned area.
- Must be able to work for extended periods of standing or walking the sales floor.
- Effectively communicate with customers and store personnel.
- Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages.
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Stand for long periods, read computer terminals, push, pull or move objects of at least 50 lbs.
- Maneuver around sales floor and stockroom; repetitive bending, prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, squatting, and climbing.
- Work a flexible schedule that meets business needs, including nights, evenings, and weekends.
