Position Overview:
Provide member service and support in the Sam’s Club optical department. The role includes assisting members with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and promoting company products and services.
- Stock, clean, and organize product displays; remove damaged goods, sign, price appropriately, and secure fragile and high‑shrink merchandise.
- Maintain the sales floor in the optical area by handling claims and returns, zoning the area, arranging merchandise, and identifying shrink and damages in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Receive, stock, and organize merchandise in the optical area; follow company procedures and use equipment appropriately while completing paperwork, logs, and other required documentation.
- Operate hardware such as cash registers to process member purchases and assist in payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges for varying membership and payment types.
- Sell optical products and services by measuring, adjusting, and repairing frames and lenses, completing eyewear/contact‑lens orders, verifying prescription information, maintaining required paperwork, collecting payments for doctor services, and recording results of optometric pretests.

Compensation:
Hourly wage $17.00 to $25.00, with potential hourly premiums of $0.35 to $3.00 based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
