We re currently accepting applications for the position of Deli/Bakery Manager at our Macon location. Qualified applicants must be 18+, hard workers, able to provide excellent customer service, work in a fast-paced environment, and a go-getter. Must be available to work some weekends. Experience is required. This is a full-time position with competitive wages and benefits, including health insurance, holiday/vacation pay, and flexible hours.

Job Description:

The Deli/Bakery Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Deli/Bakery Department. Duties may include assisting customers, setting the example for department employees, stocking and rotating products, receiving, and preparing custom orders, slicing meat and cheese, ordering, taking inventory, and checking product quality.

Primary Duties
  • Provide friendly, prompt, and efficient customer service always.
  • Stock and rotate product.
  • Work with a team to ensure a pleasant work environment, and customer satisfaction.
  • Handle food in a safe manner, preparing meals to fill hot case and cold cases.
  • Take and fulfill customers’ orders at the Deli Hot Case.
  • Cut deli meat and cheese for customers, as necessary.
  • Prepare deli & bakery trays, for custom orders.
  • Assist with occasional catering events.
  • Rotate, and stock product.
  • Wash dishes, as necessary.
  • Baking with the potential to decorate cakes.
  • Practice proper sanitation procedures and complete required cleaning to ensure work areas and displays are kept neat and clean.
  • Adhere to company policies and guidelines.
  • Report to work when scheduled and on time.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Experience is required.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to be on their feet for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, and lift up to 10 pounds frequently to move product.
  • Must be able to carefully operate equipment necessary to perform job – including but not limited to; kitchen utensils, wrapping machine, slicer, pallet jack, knives, fryer, oven, stovetop, etc.

This is a fast-paced work environment. This position has occasional exposure to temperature extremes.
