• Read and write English, interact with the general public and co‑workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, price codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.

• Basic PC/Outlook skills
• Retail Management Certificate

• Maintain assigned store section, including ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and rotating merchandise, stocking shelves, end displays, floor stacks, and cases.
• Prepare perishable products for sale and set up advertising/promotional displays.
• Review invoices and bills for accuracy.
• Keep interior and exterior store areas and parking lot clean and sanitary.
• Operate the cash register, receive payments, make change, process check/charge/debit transactions, and handle cash or credit refunds as authorized.
• Verify customer eligibility when selling alcoholic beverages.
• Offer friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and courteous assistance to customers with product information.
• Assist customers in loading purchases into their vehicles when requested.
• Perform basic bookkeeping duties, including recording lost/damaged goods and store supplies.
