We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team in a fast-paced Convenience store environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service. This role involves engaging with customers, handling transactions, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for all.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently and accurately for all transactions.
• Provide outstanding customer service by assisting shoppers with inquiries and resolving any issues.
• Handle cash transactions, ensuring accurate cash handling and adherence to company policies.
• Perform merchandising tasks, including stocking shelves and maintaining product displays.
• Conduct product demonstrations to enhance customer knowledge and promote sales.
• Upsell products where appropriate to maximize sales opportunities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and store environment.
• Utilize retail math skills to manage inventory levels effectively.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive shopping experiences.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash flow accurately.
• Experience in merchandising and stocking is advantageous.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also taking initiative when necessary.
