Overview: A growing automation-focused organization is seeking a Territory Sales Representative to drive business across the West Coast. The role is ideal for a sales professional with a strong background in robotics and industrial automation, particularly selling through system integrators, distributors, and machine builders. This position offers territory ownership, autonomy, and strong upside in a high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive regional sales growth by managing key industrial accounts and developing new business opportunities across the West Coast.
- Lead customer engagements for robotic and automation solutions, including validation, testing, prototyping, and system integration.
- Work closely with system integrators, OEMs, distributors, and machine builders to expand channel-driven sales.
- Build long-term relationships with decision-makers in industries such as medical devices, electronics, automotive, aerospace, and biotech.
- Utilize CRM tools to manage pipeline activity, forecast revenue, and track performance in a commission-driven environment.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, applications, and leadership teams to expand U.S. market presence and deliver high-value automation solutions.
- Represent the company at customer sites, industry events, and trade shows as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven sales experience in robotics, automation, or industrial capital equipment.
- Strong success selling through system integrators and distributor channels.
- Track record of new business development and territory growth.
- Ability and willingness to travel overnight approximately 50% of the time.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to engage in consultative, solution-oriented sales.
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable operating independently in a growing organization.
