As a Solar Sales Consultant , you will be on the front lines of customer engagement, managing the full sales cycle from lead generation through closing. You will meet homeowners and commercial clients in person, assess their energy needs, and design customized solar solutions using advanced technology platforms.

You will be a key part of our expansion, helping Simply Solar grow while building your own high-earning sales career.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end sales cycle , including lead generation, follow-up, presentations, and contract closing
  • Design and analyze custom solar energy systems using online tools and proprietary software
  • Create professional solar installation proposals tailored to each client’s needs
  • Conduct in-home sales consultations and close paperless contracts
  • Manage customer activity, leads, and sales pipeline through Salesforce CRM and SolarOS
  • Build long-term client relationships throughout the production and installation process
  • Attend local networking events and community outreach activities to drive solar lead generation
Required

Skills & Qualifications
  • Proven ability in lead generation, sales outreach, and follow-up
  • 2+ years of successful solar sales experience (outside sales or commission sales preferred)
  • Outstanding communication skills—both written and verbal
  • High integrity with the ability to connect with diverse customer demographics
  • Strong technical aptitude with digital tools (Microsoft Office & GSuite experience a plus)
  • Availability for flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends
  • Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Experience
  • Salesforce or other CRM platform experience for managing and analyzing sales pipelines
  • College degree (not required)
  • Base salary + uncapped commission — unlimited earning potential with no commission cap
