Position Summary

UV Resources is seeking a self-driven Strategic Sales Manager for our West Coast Region who has a strong ownership mindset, bias for action, relentless customer advocacy, and front‑line obsession. The Strategic Sales Manager role will focus on business growth and channel development with new and existing distributors and national accounts. They will also pursue large end‑user opportunities in concert with distribution channels.

The right person will help build relationships and educate distributors on how to be successful using the UVR Companies’ products and solutions. This role will be instrumental in the organic growth of the business through customer feedback and improving distribution network effectiveness. Responsible for overall representation in Sales, along with indirectly processing sales orders, preparing pricing, responding to customer inquiries, and expediting orders to maximize the Company’s sales effectiveness.

Responsibilities
  • Overall responsibility for sales in West Coast Region for the Company.
  • Improve overall operational effectiveness of the organization through the development of an annual sales plan, objectives, and forecasts aligned with the overall sales plan for the business unit.
  • Develop network of distributors to support sales growth.
  • Develop product awareness at consultant/project representative level to include product capabilities, technical information, new offerings, etc.
  • Cultivate new customers at the installing contractor level; promote product to specifying engineers on new projects.
  • Establish new large‑scale projects by pursuing opportunities through personal sales efforts.
  • Display strong external focus through a keen awareness of market conditions, customer and competitor activities and their related opportunities for the business.
  • Create and execute customized marketing plans for major customers within the territory, including participation in trade shows and association events.
  • Establish a process to identify potential jobs/projects in the region and secure bids from independent reps or end customers, and set a review process with operations, sourcing, and engineering to understand future needs.
  • Serve as a customer resource for technical and application questions, leveraging appropriate internal resources to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • Extensive travel required, approximately 50%.
  • Listen to customer requests for product and prepare information to submit for a quote.
  • Confer with the Director of Sales or President on sales, review achievements, and discuss required changes in goals or objectives.
  • Assist in departmental functions as required, such as resolving service issues and account receivables.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience within Sales and a solid track record in sales achievements and closing.
  • 3+ years of experience in a sales leadership or managerial role.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer, and Dynamics CRM.
  • Effective communication skills, including written and verbal.
  • Ability to speak to large groups.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and within guidelines or established procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, handle high‑volume workload, and participate in trade and home shows.
  • Strong relationship‑building skills.
