Compensation
$120,000 - $140,000 per year. Eligible for a Sales Incentive Plan targeting $75,000 annually; terms and conditions apply.
OverviewRare Disease Account Executive – Northern California, residing in the territory. Increase laboratory sales revenue through market penetration and promotion of Ambry's portfolio of genetic diagnostic testing services. Advocate the clinical and financial benefits of our products to all levels and call points in hospitals, specialty clinics, and physician offices including MDs, nurses, genetic counselors, and laboratory staff. Manage complex sales to closure with healthcare industry thought leaders.
EssentialFunctions
- Manage a sales territory and live in the designated territory.
- Grow business in existing Ambry accounts and expand menu utilization.
- Sell genetic diagnostic testing services to new customers.
- Negotiate and manage contracts.
- Introduce new testing products and develop demand for new assays.
- Implement customer‑specific action plans, develop and deliver presentations.
- Host and assist with trade shows.
- Manage customer data in the company database.
- Achieve sales goals and perform other duties as assigned.
- 3+ years of industry experience selling laboratory services to clinicians and hospitals or medical device sales.
- Bachelor's degree and/or combined years of experience required.
- Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint applications.
- Proficient using CRM applications such as Microsoft CRM.
- Strong track record of sales success with a broad portfolio of laboratory testing across specialties.
- Ability to sell technically complex products.
- Expertise with demand creation in a large geography.
- Strong networking and relationship development skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Formal sales training experience (e.g., SPIN Selling, PSS) is a plus.
- Strong time and territory management skills.
- Current valid driver license unless otherwise agreed upon.
- Bachelor's degree is highly preferred.
- Experience with a customer base within the territory.
- Medical, dental, vision, and FSA.
