Job Overview
The Regional Sales Account Executive – Fleet Solutions (FS) at Cox Automotive is based in the Bakersfield, CA to Oregon border or Northern Nevada territory.
The role requires 75% travel across multi‑state territories and offers flexible work arrangements for candidates residing within the specified region.
- Base salary range: $70,700 – $106,100
- Annual incentive/commission target: $70,000
- Drive revenue growth by developing new business and expanding the customer base within the territory.
- Lead complex, consultative sales cycles to close high‑value fleet management solutions.
- Partner with fleet customers to understand operational needs, pain points and business objectives.
- Deliver tailored proposals and presentations that clearly communicate value.
- Maintain an accurate pipeline in Salesforce with reliable forecasting.
- Share actionable insights on industry trends, market shifts and emerging fleet challenges.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure seamless customer experiences and long‑term account growth.
- Own $5‑10M in new business development, managing accounts until transition to the account management team.
- Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of related experience (or equivalent).
- Valid driver’s license and strong driving record.
- Ability to travel extensively (up to 80%) across multi‑market and multi‑state territories.
- Experience in trucking or fleet management sales.
- Proven success in prospecting, developing new business and growing existing accounts.
- Strong communication, customer service and relationship‑building skills.
- Working knowledge of effective sales and marketing techniques.
