Wine Tasting Room Sales Associate

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and outgoing Wine Tasting Room Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be key in providing outstanding service to our customers and contributing to the success of our wine retail sales. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, a passion for wine, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Greet and educate customers about our winery and wines during their tasting experience, while accurately answering any questions they may have.
• Offer personalized wine recommendations by engaging with customers.
• Handle POS transactions accurately and manage cash handling responsibilities.
• Maintain an organized, stocked, & clean tasting room.
• Promote wine sales & wine club membership.
• Assist with special events & other activities hosted by the winery.
• Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance the overall tasting experience.
• Represent our winery with professionalism & enthusiasm.

• Proven experience in retail sales (wine sales preferred), showcasing an understanding of customer needs and sales techniques.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with customers and team members.
• Proficiency in retail math for accurate transaction processing and inventory management.
• Experience in cash handling, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions.
• Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on creating positive tasting experiences.
• Ability to upsell products through persuasive communication and product knowledge. Commission paid for Wine Club Sign Ups plus Tips!
• Strong organizational skills to maintain stock levels and ensure the tasting room is well-presented.
