We are looking for a competitive Territory Business Manager to develop sales strategies and attract new clients. The successful salesperson will identify new sales opportunities and close sales to achieve quotas. They will play a key role in increasing revenue by managing and negotiating with clients, generating leads, qualifying prospects, and managing sales of products and services.
Here you will make an impact by:
- Managing the Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and western Tennessee territory to drive and support growth with Neogen Food Safety Products.
- Implementing and executing on business priorities.
- Delivering on financial and forecast expectations.
- Conducting business planning to drive growth with direct, indirect (channel), key accounts and focused market segments.
- Developing sales strategies and adjusting to meet changing market and competitive conditions for complex product lines and working cross‑functionally with other business disciplines.
- Independently manage and grow business within a set geography.
- Close and grow sales through professional communication with existing and potential clients.
- Identify and resolve client concerns; recommend a course of action to alleviate these concerns in the future.
- Expand market awareness of our products and our industry experience by communicating features and benefits of our products and services effectively.
- Maintain records of customer communications and contact information as required.
- Make technical presentations, webinars.
- Prepare responses to RFP (request for proposals) and RFI (request for information).
- Attend and participate in trade shows, conferences and other marketing events.
- Have working knowledge of price calculations.
- Research market requirements and market data.
- Maintain knowledge of competitor products and identify and report intelligence on competitor pricing or marketing strategies.
- Maintain current Neogen product knowledge.
- Demonstrate and explain best practices in installation techniques for all Neogen products.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology, Science or Sales is preferred.
- Successful history of time and territory management.
- Successful sales performance and territory track record or meeting or exceeding forecast.
- Attention to detail, critical thinking.
- Experience using or other Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
- Experience with "Solution Selling" methodologies.
- Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office.
