Overview
Miller Knoll seeks an Enterprise Account Developer based in Southern California to drive new business wins within target accounts. The role focuses on strategic account development, building long‑term relationships, and transitioning secured accounts to the National Enterprise Account Team (NEAT).
Inside the Job- Strategic Account Development: Identify and manage a list of target accounts, develop a Strategic Account Plan, map decision‑makers, and define a winning strategy using a RACI model.
- Lead with Why Miller Knoll: Engage clients with a tailored Value Proposition that addresses their unique business challenges and showcases Miller Knoll’s innovative solutions.
- Quick Win Strategies: Deploy fast, tactical sales tactics to convert leads into new clients within 12–18 months.
- Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities:
- Actively identify and close new business in the target account list.
- Spearhead strategic relationships with key decision‑makers and serve as their trusted advisor.
- Collaborate with marketing, product development, and internal teams to design aligned strategies.
- Manage sales strategy, coordinate resources, and oversee the transition to NEAT.
- Utilize and other digital tools to track opportunities and maintain account information.
- Monitor market trends, adapt strategies, and maintain competitive advantage.
- Account Deliverables: Develop and maintain Strategic Account Plans, document requirements, and ensure the selling team follows the RACI model.
- Transition Management: Ensure a smooth handoff of fully secured accounts to NEAT for ongoing relationship management.
- 8+ years of successful new business development with a proven track record of client acquisition.
- Strong networking skills with the ability to build relationships at C‑level.
- Experience in high‑pressure, target‑driven sales environments.
- Advanced selling capabilities: qualifying prospects, lead generation, consultative selling, negotiation, and contract management.
- Strategic thinking, financial acumen, and the ability to understand complex business models.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Certified ability to work with or similar CRM systems.
- Willingness to travel 40%+ nationally.
- Capability to transition accounts to NEAT efficiently.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Design, or a related field (preferred).
Base salary range: $ – $. Additional incentives may include geographic premium, discretionary bonuses, and equity awards, depending on qualifications and market factors.
