Job Summary
As a Field Account Manager – Industrial & Trades, you will sell MRO supplies and Jan/San products to an established portfolio and prospect new business. The role focuses on driving sales growth, building strong relationships, and meeting/exceeding sales targets in the designated territory.
Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities- Manage sales and customer retention initiatives to enhance performance, profitability, and satisfaction.
- Oversee planning, forecasting, and reporting of sales activities and competitive pricing tactics.
- Generate a strategic sales call schedule and conduct face‑to‑face visits to identify opportunities and promote value‑added solutions.
- Identify, develop, and maintain a qualified pipeline of accounts to meet total sales and margin plans.
- Focus on new account opportunities through cold‑call strategies to grow territory accounts.
- Implement approved sales strategies to achieve outcomes while fostering relationships and maintaining product knowledge.
- Use Salesforce reporting and data analysis to identify growth opportunities within the territory.
- Review customer portfolios to drive action on underperforming accounts.
- Collaborate with inside sales to support business growth and development.
- Proactive sales professional with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize selling activities and administrative tasks.
- Strong relationship building skills with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Experience developing and executing a strategic sales plan.
- Consultative/solution selling experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM.
- Proven record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- 3+ years of B2B field sales experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
- 5–8 years of experience in a related field, or 3–5 years if holding a master’s degree.
- Certification required in some areas (as applicable).
