Job Summary

As a Field Account Manager – Industrial & Trades, you will sell MRO supplies and Jan/San products to an established portfolio and prospect new business. The role focuses on driving sales growth, building strong relationships, and meeting/exceeding sales targets in the designated territory.

Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
  • Manage sales and customer retention initiatives to enhance performance, profitability, and satisfaction.
  • Oversee planning, forecasting, and reporting of sales activities and competitive pricing tactics.
  • Generate a strategic sales call schedule and conduct face‑to‑face visits to identify opportunities and promote value‑added solutions.
  • Identify, develop, and maintain a qualified pipeline of accounts to meet total sales and margin plans.
  • Focus on new account opportunities through cold‑call strategies to grow territory accounts.
  • Implement approved sales strategies to achieve outcomes while fostering relationships and maintaining product knowledge.
  • Use Salesforce reporting and data analysis to identify growth opportunities within the territory.
  • Review customer portfolios to drive action on underperforming accounts.
  • Collaborate with inside sales to support business growth and development.
Qualifications
  • Proactive sales professional with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize selling activities and administrative tasks.
  • Strong relationship building skills with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Experience developing and executing a strategic sales plan.
  • Consultative/solution selling experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM.
  • Proven record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • 3+ years of B2B field sales experience.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
  • 5–8 years of experience in a related field, or 3–5 years if holding a master’s degree.
  • Certification required in some areas (as applicable).
